The retreat can handle a group of 7. We have 7 beds and 7 desks for sewing/crafting

Does each person get their own room?

No, unless your group is of 3 or less. The retreat has 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 and 2 have two beds and Bedroom 3 has three beds.

What are the bed sizes?

Bedroom 2 and 3 have Twin XL beds. Bedroom 1 has a bunkbed with a Twin bed on top and Double on the bottom. There is also a queen size airbed available for use.

Is food provided at the retreat?

No, food is not provided. However, the retreat has a well equipped kitchen with all the necessary utensils, dishes, baking dishes pots and pans, and several small appliances that include a KitchenAid mixer, crockpot, electric pressure cooker, air fryer, etc. Basic seasonings are provided as well. There is also an electric kettle and coffee maker that takes both K-Cups and regular ground coffee in a carafe. We provide coffee and an assortment of Teas. The kitchen also has a full sized refrigerator, gas stove, microvave, and gas gril (outside). Most groups coordinate meal planning ahead of time so that each person is responsible for a meal or two. We think you will appreciate everything our kitchen has to offer and that it allows your group to easily prepare whatever level of cuisine you desire.

What is your rental rate?

Our rental rate is $375 per night for up to 7 people. That includes all necessary taxes. We do not rent / bill individually, so you must pay as a group and designate a group coordinator to facilite the payment(s). We also charge a $150 security deposit that is due at time of reservation. Your full payment is due 14 days prior to arrival. We also have a winter (Jan-Mar) special rate of $275/night. Please read the retreat accomodations page for more details.

What do you recommend to pack?

Well, other than the obvious (clothes, crafting supplies and tools, food) we recommend packing warm clothes (even in the summer season for the evening), bathing suit and robe for the hottub, slippers, bug spray (summer)

Is there cell phone service at the retreat?

No, there is no cell service at the retreat. We do provide free WiFi and you can use it to make calls over the WiFi. Most smartphones have a feature called WiFi calling, and it allows you to make calls as you normally would in town, but over WiFi. Please contact your carrier to ensure this feature is enabled on your device. If you need help connecting to WiFi, just ask the owners at the retreat.

Do you provide WiFi?

Yes, and its free! Our speed is a bit limited so we just have to be careful and not overload the network. It works great for making calls and checking your emails and facebook. It can support streaming on a limited basis. The TV in the retreat has Netflix and Prime Video. We recommend you stream from this TV instead of on your personal devices.

Does the power go out often?

Not really, but it does happen - usually during the winter. In the event this happens, we will do our best to keep you comfortable. In the colder months the wood stove in the retreat will keep you warm, and you can still cook with the gas stove. We also have some battery powered lights available, and some puzzles. We also have a small generator. We recommend packing some "hand-work" should the power go out.

Does everyone in my group have to sew/quilt/craft?

No. Please feel free to bring along your non-crafty friends and family. There is a lot to do up on the mountain to keep everyone entertained and having a good time. However, please note that we live in a residential community and so generally do not allow off-road/all-terrain vehicles (ATVs, UTVs, etc.) to the retreat. This is to keep in good standing with our neighbors. If you have any questions about bringing an off-road vehicle, just ask.

How do we get to the retreat?

We are located in Boise County, Idaho, near historic Idaho City. You can find us on google maps here, and our location is accurate. Do not use your GPS to navigate by our address, as it typically won't get you to the retreat, but somewhere else in the area. We recommend you follow our written instructions that we have posted here

Do you have Air Conditioning?

Yes! Currently we have portable air conditioners located throughout the retreat house should you feel the need to use them. Typically, they are only needed during the day during July and August. Also, each room has a ceiling fan. It is usually quite chilly at night so we recommend openning the windows and letting in the fresh mountain air!

What do you use for heat?

The house has a forced air propane furnace. We also have a wood burning stove and individual electric heaters in the bedrooms.
